About the pickles...

Oak Barrel Fermented

Britt’s Fermented Foods uses oak barrels to make their pickles. They consider the oak barrel the key ingredient that separates their pickles from the rest.

Ancient Preservation or Tradition

Lactic Acid Fermentation is an ancient practice, dating back to the Fertile Crescent in 6000 B.C., used to safely preserve food. Lactic Acid Fermentation means we submerge our cucumbers in the right amount of saltwater to create the environment for lactobacillus bacteria to ferment them.

Best Quality

Other methods of preservation and processing- such as vinegar- are both cheaper and easier, but there’s just simply no match for the vibrant flavor of Oak Barrel Fermentation.

Fresh Turmeric

All three pickle do not use heat or vinegar and all three include fresh turmeric. Studies have shown when turmeric is fermented it increases the bioavailability of the root. It also makes the brine taste delicious. Take a shot of brine at night before bed to support your immune system.
