Start here

Your job at the door

Every guest stops at the door once. In about 30 seconds they get scanned, get what their ticket comes with, and go have fun. Faye tells you which door you're on.

Check in by 9:30 AM at your front door. That's the Lot B main entrance or the Texas Live! entrance, whichever door you're assigned. Park in Lot D first and leave time to walk over. Directions are in Parking.

Download the scanner app before you arrive

Scanners use the free Cognex Barcode Scanner app on their own phone. It opens to this yellow screen. Download it at home, open it once, and make sure the camera works.

Scanners

Look at and scan every ticket. One scan is one guest, so a person holding 4 tickets means 4 scans for 4 people standing in front of you. Standard guests get one drink card per ticket right after the scan.

Bags

Hand one packed bag per ticket, matched to the ticket. The chart is in Bags.

VIP wristbands · Texas Live! entrance

Put one VIP wristband on the wrist of every VIP, Influencer and Friends & Fam guest after they're scanned. Put it on the wrist yourself. Never hand out a loose band.

Team lead

One per entrance. Anything you're not sure about goes to your team lead, so you can keep the line moving.

Keep the line moving. Slow entry was the number one complaint last year. If a guest has a problem, step them aside and get your team lead.

Every single guest

The 3 checks

  1. Look at it. It says In My Pickle Era Tour | Arlington. Baltimore or Philly tickets don't work here.
  2. Check the time. Guests can come in at the time listed on their ticket or any time after. Too early? Kindly tell them their time.
  3. Scan it, then hand out what that color gets. The color tells you the tier, the tier tells you the merch.

You must always look at and scan every ticket. Never one without the other. A good scan on the wrong city or the wrong time is still the wrong ticket.

Know the tickets

These are the only real tickets. In Apple Wallet or in a screenshot, a real ticket looks exactly like one of these. We don't sell any other tickets. Any other ticket is fake. Don't scan it, get your team lead.

Troy's private entrance

Snooki Brunch Party only. Doors at 10:30 AM, check-in inside Troy's.

Guest at the wrong door? Don't send them away empty. Scan them if their time is right, or walk them to the right line if your lead says so.

Before you get here

Parking

You park in Lot D

Lot D is the staff and vendor lot, blue on the map, and it's free. Don't park in Lot B. Lot B is for guests.

Google Maps directions

Heavy traffic Saturday. There's a concert at AT&T Stadium next door the same day, so leave early and give yourself extra time to get in and walk over.

If a guest asks

  • Lot B: free for Big Dill guests, first come, first served. Enter at B-1 off Randol Mill Road. Once it's full, it's full.
  • Lot B full: Lots C, RBP, 801 and W are $15 per car for Big Dill guests. They show their ticket at the lot.
  • Accessible parking: ADA spaces are in Lot B. Guests need their placard or plates.
  • Snooki Brunch Party guests: the Live! Parking Garage is a short walk to Troy's, or free Lot B.
  • Cars out by 8 PM. Lot B is cleared for cleanup right after the party ends, so guests going to the concert can't leave their car there.

We never run out of merch. Never tell a guest "we don't have any more." If your table runs low, get your team lead and backup comes.

  • One bag per ticket, matched to the ticket.
  • Bags wait for them until 7 PM. A guest who shows up late gets the same bag as the first one in.
  • Standard asks about a bag? Kindly let them know bags come with the other ticket types.

Who gets one

  • Early Entry and Premium: already packed inside their swag bag. Don't hand them a second one.
  • Standard: you hand them one card per ticket right after the scan.
  • No card: VIP, Influencer, Friends & Fam (VIP has its own package), Snooki Brunch Party, Late Brine and Little Gherkin.

Why they act like money

Every card is numbered, and we pay Texas Live! for every card that gets turned in at a bar. A card that walks off with the wrong person is a drink we pay for. That's why they're counted, handed out one at a time, and never left loose on a table.

How to hand them out

  • Scan the Standard ticket first, then hand one card to that guest. A group of 4 Standard tickets gets 4 cards.
  • Keep your stack in your hand or out of reach. Guests never grab from the pile.
  • Cards are for guests only. Not for vendors, team members or friends.
  • Guests redeem them at the Texas Live! bars. The bartender checks ID: 21+ gets an alcoholic drink, under 21 gets a water or soda.
  • Running low, or have a stack left at the end of your shift? It goes back to your team lead, never in a bag or a pocket.

What guests ask

Quick answers

Do I have to come right at my time?

No. Come at your time or anytime after. Your merch is waiting for you.

Can my friend come in early with me?

No one enters before the time on their ticket. Be warm about it, but it's the same for everyone.

Can I leave and come back?

No re-entry, unless there's an emergency the venue approves. They don't need to leave: their ticket covers Lot B, the plaza and all of Texas Live!, and they can move between them all day. VIP guests can come and go from the VIP area.

The name on the ticket isn't mine.

That's fine. Names don't matter, only the scan.

What bags are allowed?

Clear bags, strollers and wagons that fold up are fine. No backpacks. No outside food or drinks, water included. These are venue rules.

Can my kid come into VIP?

No. VIP is 21+ only. Parents can take turns, since VIP guests can come and go from the VIP area.

Where do I park?

Lot B is free and first come, first served. If it's full, Lots C, RBP, 801 and W are $15. Full details in Parking.

Where's the schedule and map?

In our app, The Big Dill Pickle Pass, on the App Store and Google Play.

When something's off

Problems

  • Won't scan: have the guest turn their screen brightness all the way up and try again. Still nothing? Step them aside and get your team lead.
  • Already scanned: don't argue. Step the guest aside and get your team lead.
  • Baltimore or Philly ticket: it doesn't work here. Get your team lead.
  • Ticket from Eventbrite, TicketLeap or a reseller: we only sell on bigdill.com. Kindly send the guest to your team lead.
  • Guest needs help getting in (wheelchair, can't stand in line): help them through and tell your team lead.
  • Anything else: stay friendly, step them out of the line so it keeps moving, and get your team lead.

The line moving fast is the most important thing at the door. Slow entry was the number one complaint last year.
